This outfit gives me so many feels, you guys. It reminds me a lot of something I would've put together back when I started blogging in 2012, what with the creepers and the wide brim hat which I've had for years now. As a fashion blogger, I know there's always pressure (mostly self inflicted) to constantly put out new content which often means new clothes and while it's always fun to update your wardrobe and share this with your readers I love to go through what I already have and mix some old familar pieces in with my more recent purchases (Two of my absolute favourite blogger babes Alice and Andini have also posted outfits recently featuring some of their old faves so this is probably subconciously inspired by them, haha <3). I bought this gorgeous velvet two piece from Motel a few months ago but have only been able to wear it during the last few weeks due to England being the absolute queen of changeable weather. Luckily it seems to be brightening up so all my favourite spring pieces are being aired and I couldn't be happier! I think it looks perfect with the wide brim hat and the creepers. As it was still pretty chilly I decided to layer with my trusty denim jacket that I've been wearing constantly since I bought it in Brick Lane during the summer, it adds a bit more casualness to the bodycon fit of the two piece which I really like.
These photos were actually shot on a beautiful spring day at the Tower of London which me and my dad decided to spontaneously visit earlier this week (fun fact: I'm a huge history buff and I adore any place with a rich story behind it). It was a great day and it was amazing seeing the site again as I hadn't visited since I was very young. A word of advice though - don't wear a hat/mini combination on a windy day where you'll be climbing a lot of stairs. You may look sassy as hell but you'll also spend your entire day with one hand on your head and the other on your skirt hem trying not to flash the entire tourist population of Tower Hill, something that I learnt the hard way - classic.
