pink cat-a-fore dress - Lazy Oaf
white tee - Zara
Krusty Shake bag - Skinnydip London
Guys, we need to talk about this amazing pinafore. When I was doing my weekly (okay, daily) browse of the Lazy Oaf website and saw it as part of their latest drop from the SS16 line, I actually think I let out a gasp. If I died and was reincarnated as an item of clothing it would 120 percent be as this dress. Not only is it pastel pink, my most beloved and probably most worn colour, but it has a cat on it - and I notoriously love cats. I'm seriously shaping up to rival that one crazy lady on The Simpsons, and I'm only 20. I was absolutely gutted when it sold out super quickly, but not being one to give up on owning sartorial perfection decided to make a trip to the Lazy Oaf store on Carnaby Street where luckily it was still in stock. Mission: complete. I think I love this dress because I almost definitely would've worn this when I was 3 years old (my mother agreed) and that makes me feel sort of nostalgic. I love looking back on old photos from when I was a kid and seeing what elements of my style are still in tact from my childhood; as a matter of fact a lot of them are. Young Cara was really into pastels and glitter and sassy slogans which seems to not have changed even now - does anyone remember Tammy Girl? I'm pretty sure that shop made me who I am today. Anyway, I digress. Lazy Oaf are definitely one of the best brands out there at the moment and are definitely starting to rival Unif as my absolute favourite - they have a really knack for creating quirky and adorable pieces that are still totally cool and wearable. I really recommend checking out their website if you haven't already; it's a pastel, candy coated dreamland.
