Every now and again I feel like dressing very girly and today was one of those days. The likes of Dior focused on a very feminine, almost quite retro look for Autumn Winter and I decided to put my own spin on the classic lady trend. If you know me, you'll know my infatuation with sparkly things, like glitter nail polish (not getting it off). These magpie like tendencies seem to have filtered into my wardrobe as more so than ever I find myself drifting towards metallic skirts, glittery shoes and anything that could be used on a Christmas tree. This holographic skater skirt didn't stand a chance really, and when paired with this fluffy Tiffany blue knit with the subtlest hit of shimmer it was a match made in princess heaven. I didn't want the look to be super OTT for daytime so i wore my black studded cut out boots as they balanced out the outfit and the slight heel gives me some height. I wore them with some glittery pastel blue ankle socks because b-tches love attention to detail. To give the overall look more of a sleek, grown up edge I layered the jumper with a bright white collared shirt and then my AMAZEBALLS coat. I've been obsessed with pink coat-age ever since Simone Rocha's AW13 collection so when I spied this beauty on the Zara website I fell utterly in love. It goes with everything from a clean white colour palette to something more dark and I've received a bunch of compliments on it. In which I smile graciously and stroke it's soft wool tenderly. Duh.
I attended the wonderful London Fashion Weekend today and as well as ending up with a gorgeous yet expensive dress (damn you Ukelele and your beautiful creations) I got street style snapped twice - I was proper nervous and shaky so I probably look a mess but none the less I was chuffed. Yay!
