pink blouse and white flatforms - Topshop
silver metallic pencil skirt - H&M
It's official, everyone - pink is indisputably the colour of the coming season with everything coming up rosy, fuchsia and pastel. I decided to dip my toe into the metaphorical pool and give the trend a whirl while holidaying in Cyprus, wearing a Topshop blouse in a hot pink hue. I decided to play with the recognised shirt-and-pencil-skirt combination that is associated with working women due to its ladylike silhouette. To add some pizazz I opted for less conventional pieces clashing the aforementioned blouse with a metallic silver pencil skirt that I picked up for a bargain £3. H&M, I love thee.
In other non-fashion news, I just read the hugely popular John Green novel The Fault In Our Stars and despite my not expecting to like it (I'm not the biggest fan of weepy novels) I honestly adored it. It's rare that I build a personal relationship with a book character however I felt like I was experiencing Hazel and Augustus' life first hand. The book has its slow parts and some sections are hard to read but I highly recommend it, it's beautifully written and extremely honest.
